I, Corban Spyrithammer, am the author of the epic fantasy series Drackore’s Forge. Raised in the heart of the American Midwest, I first fell in love with the boundless worlds of fantasy through tabletop roleplaying campaigns in the 80s and 90s, a spark that has fueled a lifelong passion for immersive storytelling, rich lore, and epic adventures.

My first Dungeons and Dragons character was a dwarf cleric named… you guessed it: Drackore Spyritfyst.

And Drackore continued to live in many worlds, from DnD to Everquest 1 and 2, World of Warcraft, several other RPG and MMORPG games, the list goes on.

I didn’t realize it as I was writing, but some beta and ARC readers close to me pointed out that a lot of this story and many of the characters are literally and truly parts of me.

‍My writing draws deep inspiration from those tabletop role-playing games, epic fantasy novels, tv shows, and movies filled with intricate political intrigue, magic, and large-scale medieval warfare. These influences shape tales of forged destinies, complex characters, and worlds where heroism and hardship collide.

I spent over 21 years in the United States military, deployed multiple times to Africa and the Middle East, and participated in multiple humanitarian missions, such as Hurricane Katrina and the Japan 9.0 Earthquake recovery operations, and several others. He considers his Humanitarian medals far more valuable than any others he was awarded.

When not crafting the next chapter of Drackore’s Forge, I enjoy diving into video games, catching the latest movies, and spending quality time with family and friends. I focus on causes that support disabled veterans such as myself and those that support the love and well-being of all children and animals, believing every child deserves to grow up healthy, safe, happy, and deeply loved by caring, responsible people. We must be defenders and guardians to those that cannot, or are not yet able, to defend themselves.

I have a deep respect for all living things and is always looking for ways to ease the suffering of anyone he comes across. One of my favorite sayings: “If I can, I will. If I can’t, we’ll find someone that can.”‍ ‍

I consider Ironvein to be the Heaven I hope to earn my way into when my time on the mortal plane is finished.

I now reside in the south, where wide-open skies, warmer temperatures, and quiet evenings offer the ideal setting for dreaming up new legends. Readers can follow my journey and stay updated on the series at www.corbanspyrithammer.com, the only website legitimately associated with the author and his works and his official X account @CSpyrithammerDF (not the thieves that stole my series name the day I applied for a Trademark).

‍I am honored you have stopped by my site and/or have read my works, past and present. This is a new pen name for me, and that is because of everything I have accomplished thus far, Drackore’s Forge lies somewhere special inside my soul. This is a story that lived inside my head for decades, not years or months. It has grown, and that is a pleasant surprise. I hope you feel the story the way I feel it.

To all of you out there suffering - I know. I have been there. I sometimes feel that pull trying to take me back to that dark cave. Please, do as I once did and get the professional help. It works! If not for a good therapist, people that I found out do truly care for me, and dialing the number “988”, Drackore’s Forge would never have come to see the light of day.

I truly believe Drackore is grateful I called that number. I know I am.
